A Brief Introduction to the Shaolin Temple Wushu Training Center
The Shaolin Temple Wushu Training Center of Henan Province locates 500 meters east of the over-1500-yesr-old ancient Shaolin Temple, 73 kilometers west of Zhengzhou (capital of Henan), and 60 kilometers east of Luoyang ( the ancient capital of 9 dynasties). Set up with joint investment from National Tourism Administration and Henan Provincial People’s Government, it really deserves its reputation to be a center of promoting shaolin Kunfu and Zen culture since its foundation in 1988.
The kungfu performance group created many "firsts" in the performance world of China. It is China's first group to perform on the stage of the Royal Theater in England, the Golden Hall in Austria, as well as the Broadway in New York.
The Shaolin Temple Wushu Training Center consists of six parts:
The International Kungfu Performance Group, including 220 kungfu performers, is a special team to provide excellent kungfu shows to all the tourists visiting Shaolin as well as going abroad for Shaolin cultural exchange activities or commercial performances.
The International Kungfu Training Department, including several experienced kungfu masters, helps students from all over the world study shaolin Kungfu and Zen Buddhism culture in shaolin.
The Shaolin Wushu School, with about 300 students, is a kungfu school for Chinese teenagers.
The Shaolin Wushu Travel Service, provides reception services and design trip for tourists from both china and aboard;
The Zen International Hotel, the only four-star standard hotel inside the Shaolin Scenic Area.
The Shaolin Travel Souvenires R&D Center, designs and sells characteristic souvenirs.
